Introduction to Ecotoxicology and Environmental Risk Assessment


A large number of hazardous substances are released into the environment and it is essential to assess their impact on ecosystems. Understanding the various fields of ecotoxicology and being able to summarise the right information is indispensable.

This cross-sector training course will familiarise you with ecotoxicological terminology, concepts and tests and will explain the different exposure models for risk assessment of chemicals in the environment. It has been set up as a first introduction and does not require prior knowledge in ecotoxicology. However, a basic knowledge in chemistry is recommended.
