Analytical Chemist (m/w/d)

  • The analytical chemist/study director will conduct/support product chemistry characterization studies and other Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) regulated work to support the global Crop Protection portfolio;
  • The chemist will be responsible to develop and validate analytical methods for product purity and stability testing, conduct physical and chemical property determinations, prepare reports for regulatory submissions, serve as a study director and respond to questions from regulators on Product Chemistry data;
  • The primary techniques used in this role focus on instrument-based analytics such as liquid chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC), ion chromatography (IC), LC-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), and GC-MS;
  • Experience working in a GLP or other regulated laboratory environment is required.
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or Master's degree with 2 years of experience in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field of study;
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment (such as GLP, GMP or ISO, etc.);
  • Understanding of analytical sciences with emphasis in HPLC and GC;
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment and methods;
  • Familiarity with method validation procedures, SOPs, and electronic systems;
  • Working knowledge of other analytical methods (including wet chemical procedures, UV/Vis, FTIR, ICP-MS, etc.);
  • Hands-on experience with the following: LC-MS, GC-MS, IC;
  • Familiarity and/or experience with GLP Guidelines;
  • Experience as a GLP Study Director;
  • Familiar with LIMS and computerized data acquisition systems;
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
