Your Profile:

• Master degree in either hardware engineering (i.e. electronics, mechanics, mechatronics) or natural sciences (i.e. physics)
  
• Leadership experience in hardware development projects; preferably in lab equipment environment
  
• Experience in the use and implementation of agile process models
  
• Entrepreneurial mindset
  
• Conceptual and analytical skills

Your Tasks:

• Setup and maintenance of a fully functional R&D department in order to autonomously run HW-Device projects and deliver the expected results in time, scope and budget
  
• Apply the Eppendorf innovation process and safeguard compliance of all project activities with local, global and legal rules
  
• Ensuring close cooperation with the business, especially in the area of product transfer to the TCS manufacturing site
  
• Execution of new product development projects
  
• Maintenance of the R&D Budget
  
• Install a collaborative atmosphere among employees and foster cross-TC collaboration
  
• Controlling daily business to comply with the objectives regarding time, budget and quality
  
• Transfer business needs and expectations into tangible activities to achieve the requested targets
  
• Ensure availability of qualified staff members to cover all necessary activities, such as project execution, product sustaining,
  
• technology development -> hiring, maintaining and qualifying of employees
  
• Further development of the technologies and tool stacks used
  
• Support project leaders in management of product projects
  
• Process optimization, efficiency improvement and continuous improvement of the agile development process
  
• Support and coaching of team members
