Senior Scientist Plant Based (m/f/d)


Your Profile:

  • You successfully completed your studies in Food Chemistry, Protein Science, Process Engineering, or a related field
  • You have several years of experience in the Food Industry, ideally in the section of plant based
  • Experience in formulation of plant based dairy alternatives
  • Deep knowledge about relevant ingredients and their functionality
  • Thanks to your courage you effortlessly implement innovative solutions, and approach developments with a proactive and creative mindset
  • You combine a unique instinct for customer needs and market trends with a high level of analytical and conceptual competence
  • Your colleagues (m/f/d) appreciate your reliable and implementation-oriented way of working
  • Your working languages are English and German

Your Role:

  • You are the scientific expert for plant-derived proteins with a deep knowledge regarding their composition, structure and functionality
  • As an expert, you are able to decode complex matrix interactions and functional properties like emulsifying, foaming and gelling capacities
  • By using knowledge of structure-function relations you influence and define quality requirements for new product developments in the field of plant-based texturizing solutions
  • You are responsible for our existing protein range, the expansion and further development to build up a plant-based functional protein portfolio
  • You work in close cooperation with the product management, application, R&D teams and with our analytical department
  • As an expert (m/f/d) you provide technical support from laboratory to pilot scale
  • You develop application recommendations for the use of the new fibers, gelling and thickening agents
