Director Cloning (m/f/d)

What you have to offer:

• PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field paired with several years of professional experience in biotech or pharma
  
• Demonstrated and profound knowledge in the field of DNA cloning, further training as a project manager in genetic engineering would be a plus
  
• Ability to build, manage, and inspire teams
  
• Very good communication skills including fluency in German and/or English (spoken and written)
  
• Talented at collaborating cross-functionally as well as a flexible mind with ability to think outside the box and an innovative and creative approach to problem solving

Your main responsibilities are:

• Establish and lead a team dedicated to clone preferentially all DNA sequences for BioNTech's research, preclinical and clinical activities
  
• Interact with the other teams within the Synthetic DNA Biology group to shape the general strategy in our activities from sequence design to a ready-to-use DNA
  
• Develop streamlined and automated cloning processes with respect to robustness and maximal output plus support in trouble-shooting activities
  
• Stay up-to-date regarding new technologies for cloning
