Senior Research Associate, Immunohistochemistry (m/f/d)

Requirements

  • B.S. in biology with knowledge in immunology
  • 2-4 years of histopathology laboratory experience, especially in IHC and ISH
  • Strong background in IHC staining (chromogenic and fluorescence) with preferred experience in multiplex IHC
  • Experience with automated staining platforms (Leica), whole slide scanning and quantitative image analysis
  • Working knowledge of image analysis software (HALO, Image J and other similar software)
  • Must be adept at following protocols and maintaining detailed written records
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • hands-on experience using Akoya Vectra 3.0/Polaris microscopes and associated software

Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform immunohistochemical assays (both chromogenic and fluorescent) on FFPE tissue
  • Execute multiplex immunofluorescence (IF) assays to characterize the expression, distribution, and localization of tissue biomarkers in normal and tumor tissues
  • Conduct image analysis using software such as HALO, Image J, and other similar software
  • Design, implement and troubleshoot experiments, both independently and with supervision
  • Perform RNAscope in situ hybridization assay
  • Analyze and present results within the team and to broader scientific groups both internally and externally
  • Document project and experimental information using the electronic lab notebook (eLN)
  • Assist in daily lab operations including equipment maintenance and ordering of reagents/supplies
