Postdoctoral Fellowship researcher in Analytical Chemistry (m/f/d)

We are looking for a 2-year fixed term Postdoctoral Fellowship in our Syngenta Development Center in Münchwilen where you will be given the excellent opportunity for acting at the interface of product development, regulatory and industrial production process development. The focus of the position is the development and implementation of advanced analytical techniques to guide the chemical process development and the formulation development. In this position you will be embedded in several interdisciplinary project teams. The role represents an optimal entrance for a later team leader position.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will collaborate with synthesis chemists and formulation chemist to develop new agrochemical products
  • You will contribute to interdisciplinary projects by establishing new analytical techniques and writing analytical application notes
  • Furthermore, you will develop and maintain the knowledge in the developments in science and technology that are relevant to the research topics
  • You will also be responsible for the technical and administrative day-to-day management

What are we looking for:

  • PhD Degree in the field of Analytical chemistry / Food chemistry or equivalent with good understanding for chemical synthesis
  • Strong background in the field of analytical chemistry
  • Practical experience on liquid chromatography and gas chromatography techniques with various detection types
  • Experience of data analysis and statistical methods is a plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • With your openness and understanding of mutuality, your active communication and continuous value assessment you foster and encourage our team mentality
  • You communicate and work effectively with scientific and non-scientific staff at all levels within the organization and you see yourself as a creative problem solver
