Research Scientist - in vivo (m/f/d)

  • Completed education (apprenticeship) as in vivo Laboratory Technician in Biology or related discipline
  • Training in animal handling (e.g. valid accreditation with LTK1 course, FELASA Cat. B training or equivalent training is of advantage)
  • Good skills in animal handling, anatomy, anesthesia, basic surgical knowledge in rodents and a good level of proficiency in various rodent dosing techniques
  • Conducting high-quality PK studies in rodents in an independent manner on a routine basis, this involves formulation preparation, compound application but also recording and documentation of experimental details, study execution will be done with a high level of integrity, ethics and accuracy
  • In addition, basic surgery including anesthesia and analgesia handling is part of the job profile
  • Ability to maintain an in vivo experimental laboratory including selection of equipment, cleaning, handling of waste (incl. biowaste), house- and book-keeping
  • Pro-active and innovative team member, which actively contributes to new method development and refinements
  • Complies strictly with Swiss and Novartis-specific Animal Welfare Regulations as well as adopts and applies 3R rules to daily business
