Scientist, X-Ray analysis of nuclear materials (m/f/d)
You will bridge the activities of the Laboratory for Nuclear Materials and Laboratory for Femtochemistry to explore and develop synchrotron-based techniques for the investigation of nuclear materials, radioactive samples and related sciences. You will use chemical imaging, spectroscopy, diffraction and other advanced analysis methods using miniaturized specimens. Further tasks will be the coordination and performance of experimental campaigns on radioactive samples at the Swiss Light Source and their preparation in the Hot Laboratory, in close collaboration with the beamline and research groups. You will take the responsibility to develop new research and R&D projects, publish your results in renowned journals and international conferences, and acquire research funds.
You have a PhD degree in physics, material science, chemistry or related scientific disciplines. You have in-depth knowledge in materials sciences / solid-state physics or X-Ray based analysis techniques and you are motivated to broaden your scientific scope.
