  • Performs routine sample prep and analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on tobacco products utilizing one or more of the following instruments: GC, FID, smoking machines, or other special purpose equipment and/or multiple wet chemistry techniques and physical testing techniques
  • Documents results accurately in notebooks and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Performs instrument calibration, recognizes errors, identifies root causes, and applies process improvements
  • Assists in updating SOP's as needed
  • Provide analyses support to method validation as needed
  • Adheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirements
  • Communicates effectively with client staff members
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science
  • At least two years related laboratory experience
  • GMP experience a plus
  • experience in the tobacco industry a plus
  • Experience in regulated environment
