How Thermo Scientific Qtegra ISDS Software supports clumped isotope analysis
Driven by recent technical advancements, stable gas isotope applications in Earth science are continuously evolving. In particular, clumped isotope applications are gaining momentum in the scientific community and promise to reveal answers to old enigmas and new questions in atmospheric, petroleum, and climate research. We developed Thermo Scientific™ Qtegra™ Intelligent Scientific Data Solution™ (ISDS) Software for our gas isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS) instruments with all the flexibility to accommodate the most demanding stable isotope applications, aiming to turn analytical challenges into routine and to bring easy-to-obtain, high-quality data into the reach of every lab.
This webinar will briefly introduce the general concept and application areas of clumped isotopes. We will then demonstrate new software features of Qtegra ISDS Software, using the examples of classical clumped carbonate analyses with our Thermo Scientific™ 253 Plus™ 10 kV IRMS and advanced clumped methane isotope analyses with our Thermo Scientific™ Ultra™ HR-IRMS. We highlight how Qtegra ISDS Software simplifies the handling of instrument control, data acquisition, and data evaluation while increasing efficiency and data quality.
